BEEBE — If you ever wanted to try out the sport of curling, now’s your chance. The Border Curling Club is hosting two free Learn to Curl Clinics.
Curling is a popular, low-impact, life-long sport for all ages and genders. It’s not weather dependent or cost prohibitive.
Clinics will be held Wednesday evening October 3, starting at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, October 6, at 1:00 p.m.
Both clinics will last approximately 2 hours.
The Curling Club will provide all equipment needed.
Participates should bring super clean running shoes and wear loose-fitting pants and warm clothes like a sweater, hat, and gloves.
Come to one or both clinics.
For the third year, the Border Curling club will also be giving a nine-week beginner course using the Curling 101 curriculum.
New curlers will learn the game, strategy, rules, and fundamentals in a supportive environment.
This course will run on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-9:00 p.m. beginning on October 17.
The cost for the course will be $10.00 per session.
The sessions are free of charge to Border Curling Club members.
The Border Curling Club is located in Stanstead (Beebe) Quebec at 26 Rue Principale.
The Club is across the street from Rock of Ages Company or approximately 4 buildings on the right after passing through the Canadian port of entry in Beebe.
