NEWPORT — As part of the city’s centennial year, MAC Center for the Arts will hallmark the fete with a new exhibition called NEWPORT!
The show will open Friday, September 14, from 5:00-7:00 p.m., with a reception in the Lower Gallery.
This exhibit will feature work by MAC members, as well as Plein Air artists.
Donna Walsh has organized “paint-outs” for Plein Air throughout the summer in the greater Newport area, and their creative interpretations will be highlighted in this exhibition.
In addition, some of the iconic images of vintage Newport will be on display to mark this historical 100-year anniversary.
The exhibit will run through Saturday, October 27, and the opening is free and open to the public.
