The Fit Beanies, comprised of Brett Shauer, Laurie Gray and Donna Morison from Corporate Accounting took third place overall in the walking division.

Team North Country Echoes, comprised of Steve Hurd, Bev Gage, and Kaitlyn Jacobs placed second overall in the walking division.

This is the third year that North Country has participated in the Vermont Corporate Cup and the hospital says they hope to set new records for participation next year.

The Vermont Corporate Cup Challenge and State Agency Race is a 5-kilometer team running/walking event open to businesses, government, and non-profit organizations in Vermont.

The purpose of the event is to promote physical fitness within the workplace and at home by bringing employees together to enjoy and experience the benefits of fitness.

The proceeds from the event benefit the many programs and events of the Vermont Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports.
