NEWPORT — The pharmacy professionals at The North Country Hospital were recently presented with the 2018 Best Practices Award from Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS), a national independent pharmacy services provider with nearly 700+ client facilities across the United States.
The award was presented at the CPS annual meeting held in Indianapolis, Indiana on May 4, 2018.
“The pharmacy team has worked very hard to improve many areas of our pharmacy operations and clinical accomplishments over the past 11 years,” said Michael Omar, R.Ph., Pharmacy Director at North Country Hospital.
The Best Practices Award was awarded to the team for its success in achieving a 95+ percent compliance score on the CPS Annual Rx-Assess Audit, an intense and thorough review of key pharmacy performance indicators with particular emphasis on regulatory, financial and operational matters, as well as areas such as customer service, quality assurance and performance improvement.
The East Region consists of 14 hospitals throughout New York, Maine, Massachusetts, and Vermont.
“It is a great feeling and honor to look back at our accomplishments and be recognized with these awards,” Omar added. “I am very pleased and proud to be associated with such a dedicated team.”
