A trooper who responded found a Connecticut license plate in the debris. The plate belonged to a blue, 2018 Ford F-150 rental vehicle.

Several hours after, the trooper spotted a blue F-150 with damage consistent with the crash in a parking lot down the street.

The driver was identified as Artur Kapusicnski, 51, of Newington, CT.

Kapusicnski told police he had not been injured in the crash.

He was issued a citation for leaving the scene of a crash.
