NEWPORT — Celebrating its 20th anniversary year, The Bronze Ambassadors of the United Christian Academy have been invited to perform with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra for their three Holiday Pops concerts in December.

The Bronze Ambassadors is an advanced-level handbell ensemble under the direction of Dr. Kimberlee Strepka.

The group will appear with the VSO on December 8 at The Barre Opera House, Saturday, December 9, at The Flynn Center for the Performing Arts in Burlington, and Sunday, December 10, at The Paramount Theatre in Rutland.

They will perform two pieces with the orchestra, as well as a solo piece featuring its Malmark English handbells and a set of Schulmerich Silver Melody bells.

The ensemble consists of 15 students, ranging in age from 13-18-years-old.

Over the years they have rung at national venues in New York and Washington D.C., and frequently perform locally at hospitals and churches.
