NEWPORT — Dr. Sean Pinard OD, a graduate of North Country Union High School in 2009, has come back to Vermont and joined the Newport Optical team.
Dr. Pinard graduated from the University of Vermont in 2013 with a BA in Biology. In 2017 he earned his Doctorate in Optometry at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee.
He will be seeing patients at both Newport Optical and Green Mountain Eye Care in Morrisville.
Dr. Pinard completed his training after working in Southeast Alaska, Memphis, Tennessee and Cumberland, Maryland.
His expertise includes primary eye-care, contact lenses, pediatric care, and ocular disease management including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease.
Dr. Pinard is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Vermont Optometric Association.
Growing up in Newport Center, he enjoys skiing, hiking and spending time on the lake.
He says he is excited to be back in the area and to be joining both the Newport and Morrisville teams.
