BARTON — A 56-year-old man from Barton was arrested this morning after police say he called Circle K and threatened to shoot people.
James Marcy is being charged with criminal threatening, following the incident.
Police say the manager at the Circle K in Barton contacted them to report a threatening phone call made by Marcy, who they say is an employee.
“Marcy had stated that he was going to go to the store and shoot everyone,” a statement issued by Corporal Callie R. Field reads.
Marcy was arrested for criminal threatening and brought before a judge this afternoon.
He was released on conditions to stay away from the store and the employees. Are you on Instagram? Cool. So are we. CLICK HERE to follow us for a behind the scenes look at Newport Dispatch.
