NEWPORT — Starting this Saturday, June 24, and running through Saturday, July 1, hundreds of books of all descriptions (fiction, non-fiction, children’s and adults’) will be for sale at the Goodrich Memorial Library in Newport during regular library hours.
The library is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
Gently used books will be available at deeply reduced prices. Many of the books are donations from loyal patrons and are current best sellers.
Sometimes a hidden treasure may be found among the older selections.
In addition, this Saturday only, delicious homemade goodies will be available in the front entry.
The sale is a good chance to stock up on summer reading material, find a new-to-you author, or revisit an old friend.
