WESTMORE — Authorities say that the body of a man discovered on a rock shelf on Mount Pisgah, has been recovered. At approximately 4:30 p.m. crews were able to retrieve the body from the cliff’s edge.
At this time rescue crews say they moved the body to Long Pond Road in the town of Westmore.
The family of Tyler Robinson, the 23-year-old man from Orleans who has been missing since last Friday, have been notified, and police say operations will culminate this evening.
The body will be transferred to the Medical Examiner’s office for examination and identification.
The investigation into this death continues to be handled by the Vermont State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations.
Police say there have been no reported injuries to anyone involved in the recovery, and the operation was carried out as planned.
Tomorrow, the trails on Mount Pisgah will be open to the public.
