Police: Island Pond man with six prior DLS convictions picked up again this morning

ISLAND POND– A 43-year-old Island Pond man with six prior DLS convictions was picked up again behind the wheel by police on Thursday morning.

Police say this morning they were attempting to locate Stanley “Joe” Crowe, 43, of Island Pond, to issue him a citation for DLS and for providing false information to a police officer after an incident that took place this fall.

According to the report, while in Windsor, Vermont, Crowe provided a relatives information during a traffic stop.

Crowe was located by police driving in Island Pond at approximately 8:15 a.m.

He was subsequently processed and released on two citations.

One citation was for the violation of DLS in Island Pond today, and the other was for the incident in Windsor earlier in the year.

Police say Crowe has 6 prior DLS convictions and is under suspension in Vermont for multiple reasons including two DUI convictions.
