Broken down car in Brownington leads to heroin arrest

BROWNINGTON — A broken down vehicle in Brownington on Saturday led to the arrest of a woman for suspicion of heroin and drug paraphernalia possession.

Police investigated a disabled vehicle in the roadway on Center Road at approximately 7:30 p.m.

According to the report, “the vehicle was empty upon police arrival, and contraband and evidence of drug use inside the vehicle was apparent.”

Police identified the vehicle owner as Thea Pion, 25, of Westmore.

Pion, who had an active warrant for her arrest, arrived on scene shortly thereafter, police say.

Police arrested Pion and say they found drug paraphernalia during the initial and secondary searches.

Pion was transferred to a correctional facility and held on a $1,500 bail.
