DERBY LINE — During a White House Arrival Ceremony for the Canadian Prime Minister on the South Lawn, President Obama gave a shout out to Derby Line, Vermont.

President Obama welcomed Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie Gregoire Trudeau to the White House as part of a state visit.

During his speech, he made reference to the Haskell Free Library, which is located in both Derby Line, Vermont, and Stanstead, Quebec.

He also mentioned both towns during this speech.

Ceremonies included a review of the troops, playing of national anthems, a pass in review, and remarks by both leaders.
