Police: Fight over loud music ends in North Troy man being stabbed

NORTH TROY — A 26-year-old man from North Troy is being charged with aggravated assault after a heated dispute with his neighbor turned violent.

Police say that Damian Inglish was taken into custody at around 9 p.m. on Sunday evening, after they responded to a call of a fight involving multiple people.

The incident took place at a residence on Main Street in North Troy. When police arrived the individuals involved were separated.

According to police, after speaking with several witnesses, their investigation revealed that Inglish and Robert West Jr., 29, of North Troy, who are neighbors, had a heated verbal exchange over loud music and threats.

The argument turned into a physical altercation on the lawn of the residence.

Police say during the course of the fight, West sustained a non-life threatening stab wound to the back. He was transported to North Country Hospital for his injuries and was later released.

Inglish was lodged at Northern State Correctional Facility for lack of $1,200.00 bail.
