ISLAND POND — A three-car crash in Morristown Thursday morning claimed the life of a 31-year-old Island Pond man.
Police say that Justin Delabruere was killed in the accident that took place at around 6:15 a.m. on Route 100.
According to a statement issued by police, Delabruere was headed south in a pickup truck, when he crossed the center line and sideswiped a car headed north. He then struck another car head-on.
Police say Delabruere died at the scene.
The driver of the second car has been identified as Erica Ciaraldi, 41, of Stowe. Ciaraldi was seriously injured in the collision, and rushed to Copley Hospital.
The driver Delabruere sideswiped was not injured.
Police are still investigating the cause of the crash, and say they do not yet know what caused Delabruere to lose control of his truck. They would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident.
