NEWPORT — The 2015 Newport Fall Foliage Festival took place over the weekend. Below are some scenes from the festival as well as the winners of this year’s Scarecrow Contest and Dessert Challenge.
Fifteen businesses and individuals crafted the colorful and amusing scarecrows that lined Main Street.
First Place Winners were:
Most Original: MAC Center for the Arts
Most Traditional: NEK Self-Advocates
Cutest: All About the Cake
Fifteen dessert entries kept Newport visitors and residents in high spirits during the Fall Foliage Festival Dessert Challenge.
Desserts ranged from Creme Puffs and cupcakes, to fudge and cookies.
1st place: Lori Wells with her pumpkin bars
2nd place: Jocelyn & Cinta with their vanilla cake with raspberry topping.
3rd place: All About The Cake with their Maple Cup Cakes.
