NEWPORT — Revision Military’s Newport facility is looking to hire a large number of both temporary and full-time manufacturing positions.
Revision is increasing its team to meet the demands of recent contract orders. A total of 90 new jobs are expected, including a manufacturing manager, manufacturing team members (cutting, stapling, kitting, molding, painting, sanding, drilling, trimming, and assembly), maintenance technician, process engineer and production supervisor.
“We are excited to hire many new team members at the Newport Facility,” Jonathan Blanshay, CEO of Revision Military said. “Our recent growth and contract wins have supported investment in plant improvements and our capability to make the best light-weight, fully integrated head systems in the market.”
Revision has diversified its business beyond the North American market, and has recently won several key contracts, including the head sub-systems supply for the new UK Cobra Plus Helmet System. The Revision custom-designed head protection solution offers an ultra-lightweight helmet that exceeds the UK’s stringent ballistic and impact requirements.
The temporary positions are benefits eligible with a six-month contract.
Revision is optimistic that follow-on orders will allow for conversion of these positions to full-time roles.
To fill all 90 positions quickly, Revision will be hosting a career fair on Friday, September 18, at the Emory Hebard State Office Building, located at 100 Main Street Newport, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
