Three facing charges after fight in Sutton

SUTTON — Three people are facing charges after a fight that took place in Sutton on Sunday.

Police issued a statement that at around 5:30 p.m. they responded to 94 Rocky Road for a reported assault. They say their initial investigation revealed that Joseph Nagle, 33, of Sutton, was involved in a physical altercation with Charles Bachelder, 48, of Brownington.

The statement goes on to say that both men assaulted each other, and during the course of the assault, Kateria Morris, 28, of Sutton, pointed an unloaded shotgun at Bachelder, in a reported effort to stop the fight.

Nagle and Bachelder were issued citations to appear in Caledonia Court for the charge of simple assault.

Morris was issued a citation to appear in Caledonia Court for the charge of reckless endangerment.

This case is still under investigation.
