DERBY — A logging truck ended up rolling on its passenger side in Derby on Wednesday evening.

The incident took place just after 6 p.m., on Route 105.

The driver, Winfred Spaulding, 42, of Maine, told police that another vehicle was traveling on the center yellow line coming at him.

The oncoming vehicle forced him to drive on the shoulder of the eastbound lane, Spaulding said.

The truck went into the ditch, causing it to roll on its passenger side.

Spaulding was not injured in the crash, but the truck and trailer sustained serious passenger side damage.

The crash is still under investigation.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is being asked to call the Derby barracks.
