NEWPORT — Aaron Heath, of Irasburg, was arraigned Monday in Newport in the Vermont Superior Court, Orleans Criminal Division, on one felony count of First Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault.
According to documents filed with the court, Mr. Heath attempted to cause or willfully or recklessly caused serious bodily injury to his infant son in August 2012.
The infant suffered several broken ribs and a severe brain injury.
Mr. Heath pleaded not guilty at his arraignment.
The court imposed an appearance bond of $10,000 and imposed conditions of release that he reside in Orleans County and refrain from contact with his son, his son’s mother, and any children under ten years old.
