NEWPORT — This Saturday the North Country Union High School Band Boosters are hosting a holiday craft and vendor show, to help raise money for the program.

The craft fair will start at 10 a.m. and run until 3 p.m., taking place inside the North Country Union High School cafeteria.

At the craft show vendors will be selling jewelry, wood products, bags, kettle corn, knitted items, pictures, and much more. Lunch will also be available for visitors, so be sure to stop at the food tables and grab some lunch or hit the bake sale tables for some delicious treats.

The NCUHS Band Boosters is holding this fundraiser to raise money for band uniforms, uniform bags, along with other assorted band needs including the every three years trip for the NCUHS Band to go to Orlando, Florida to perform on the main stage at Downtown Disney, as well as participating in a workshop with Disney musicians.

“For some of these kids, it’s the first time they’ve ever flown on an airplane, so they get valuable life experiences in being able to go to Disney in addition to performing,” said NCUHS Band Director, Bill Prue.

All proceeds from Saturday’s event will go to the band.
