Bee causes accident in Coventry on Saturday

COVENTRY — A 19-year-old man from Barton was involved in a single-vehicle crash yesterday in Coventry, after a bee flew inside his window.

According to a statement issued by Vermont State Police, Watson Gunnar was traveling south on US Route 5, when he becme distracted by a bee that flew into his vehicle.

Watson veered off the right side of the roadway, and collided into the rocky hillside.

Newport Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene. Watson was uninjured in the crash.

Watson was driving a 2000 Ford Expedition, which sustained damage to the front end and rear passenger side. The vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
