COVENTRY — A 19-year-old woman from Newport was involved in a single-vehicle accident this morning in Coventry.
Police are reporting that Makayla Cote was traveling south on Lane Road in Coventry at around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, when she allegedly swerved to avoid an animal in the road.
Cote lost control of her vehicle, a 2008 Pontiac G5.
She ended up going off the road and down an embankment. Thankfully, Cote was not injured in the crash.
Her vehicle ended up sustaining minor damage to the front passenger side.
