ANSONIA — An armed robbery occurred on June 29 at Moe’s Smoke Shop on Pershing Drive, involving three male suspects, according to the Ansonia Police Department.
The store clerk reported that around 7 p.m., a male approached the shop’s door and as it was opened, two additional males, each armed with handguns, entered the premises.
The suspects proceeded to rob the store, taking several hundred dollars in cash and merchandise valued at approximately $1,000.
The suspects, described as young black males, were caught on surveillance footage.
The first was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, white sweatpants, black and white sneakers, and white and black gloves, and was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.
The second suspect had on a black Nike hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, white and grey sneakers, purple gloves, and was armed with a silver revolver.
The third suspect was dressed in a black and red jacket, grey jeans, and grey sneakers.
A blue Honda sedan was reported to have been parked near the intersection of Pershing Drive and Bridge Street, and is considered a vehicle of interest in connection to the robbery.
