RISP arrest four on various charges, including domestic violence and fraud

PAWTUCKET — Troopers from the Lincoln Woods Barracks had a busy weekend with several arrests on charges ranging from fraudulent checks to multiple domestic violence offenses, according to the Rhode Island State Police.

On June 29 at 5:02 p.m., Jose Dones, 32, of Woonsocket, was arrested on a Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for failing to appear for a pretrial conference on the original charge of fraudulent checks over $1,500.

The arrest followed a motor vehicle stop on Harrison Street in Pawtucket.

Dones was processed and then taken to the Adult Correctional Institute – Men’s Intake Center.

Later that evening, at 7:30 p.m., Gregory Ward, 41, was arrested on several domestic violence charges, including felony assault, after a 24-hour domestic incident in Lincoln.

Ward was located and arrested in Warwick, processed at the barracks, arraigned, and transported to the Adult Correctional Institute – Men’s Intake Center.

At 10:08 p.m., Innocent Soman, 23, of Providence, was taken into custody on a bench warrant for failing to appear for an arraignment on a charge of driving with an expired license, a fourth or subsequent offense.

Soman’s arrest came after a motor vehicle stop on Cranston Street in Providence.

He was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institute – Men’s Intake Center.

The arrests continued into the early hours of June 30, with Daniela Lima, 29, of Pawtucket, being arrested at 2:31 a.m. for failing to appear for a pre-conference trial on an original charge of domestic violence – simple assault.

Lima was stopped on Moshassuck Valley Industrial Highway in Pawtucket, processed at the barracks, and then taken to the Adult Correctional Institute – Women’s Intake Center.
