East Hampton police issue citations, make arrests

EAST HAMPTON — East Hampton police issued several citations and made multiple arrests between June 13 and June 22, according to a department press release.

On June 13, Amber Converse, 29, of Portland, was ticketed for using a cell phone while driving.

Kevin Hassett, 34, of Portland, was arrested June 16 for driving under the influence and operating a vehicle while suspended after a car struck a pole on Chestnut Hill Road.

Hassett was released on a $10,000 non-surety bond and is due in Middletown Superior Court on June 26 at 9 a.m.

Also on June 16, Rosalyn Hine, 53, of East Hampton, was arrested on a warrant charging her with assault on a public safety officer/EMT and disorderly conduct.

Hine was released on a $10,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in court June 25 at 9 a.m.

William Taylor, 30, of Hartford, received a ticket for unsafe passing on June 16.

Jessica Hull, 34, of East Hampton, was arrested for disorderly conduct on June 18 and appeared in court the same day.

On June 22, three male juveniles from East Hampton were issued summonses for criminal trespass, criminal mischief and using a vehicle without permission following an investigation into vandalism at M&J Bus Inc. on June 6.

Edward House, 66, of East Hampton, was issued a summons for disorderly conduct on June 22 and is due in court June 24 at 9 a.m.

Between June 17 and June 23, officers responded to 13 medical calls, two motor vehicle accidents and six alarms, and conducted 19 traffic stops.
