BOSTON — Boston police arrested a 46-year-old Hyde Park man on firearm and drug charges following the execution of a search warrant on a seized vehicle at 2:55 p.m. Monday.

Members of the District B-2 Drug Control Unit recovered 12 grams of cocaine, eight glass jars of marijuana, four plastic bags of marijuana, and a loaded Glock firearm during the search.

Officers also found two large capacity magazines containing 28 and 31 rounds respectively, additional magazines with 8 and 22 rounds, a box of 40 rounds, and a plastic bag with 22 rounds of ammunition.

Other items seized included a firearm holster, handcuffs holster, large knife, two laser sights, and $275 in cash.

Arn Jones was arrested when he arrived at the police station to retrieve his vehicle.

He faces charges including unlawful possession of a firearm, ammunition, and large capacity feeding devices, as well as possession with intent to distribute Class B and Class D substances.

The search warrant stemmed from Jones’ previous arrest on June 22 at 2:53 p.m., when officers observed suspected drug activity near Gerard Street and Island Street.

During that incident, police recovered cocaine, fentanyl, and marijuana packaged for sale, along with $233 in cash.

Jones is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court for the latest charges.
