NEW LONDON – Firefighters from multiple towns provided mutual aid to extinguish a 4-alarm fire that destroyed two attached condominiums in New London.
Newbury Fire Rescue Engine 2 and Tanker 1 responded to the fire at the Hilltop Condo community in New London on Saturday evening.
The firefighters arrived to heavy fire showing from a unit.
The fire was brought under control in about three hours.
In addition to New London and Newbury, mutual aid was also received from Sunapee, Newport, Springfield, Grantham, Andover, Wilmot, Sutton, and Warner. Fortunately.
There were no injuries reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
