Newport police announce new hires

NEWPORT — The Newport Police Department has announced three new hires to their Emergency Communications Department.

Dispatcher Scott Bryant, who has over 10 years of emergency communications experience, was brought on full-time.

Bryant worked for the Vermont State Police in Derby up until their dispatch communications were transferred to Williston.

Dispatchers Jessika Patneaude and Cassie Piper were both hired as part time Emergency Communications Dispatchers.

Both completed their required 12-week agency training and attended the Vermont Police Academy for their training and certification in NCIC.

Police Chief Seth DiSanto says that he welcomes all three to the Newport Police Department.
