Police looking for hit-and-run driver in Derby

DERBY — Police are investigating a crash involving a parked vehicle near the Derby Village Store.

Police say that a light blue/gray sedan parked on the side of Main Street in Derby, was struck by another vehicle.

According to the report, the vehicle left the scene and traveled east on Route 105 towards Hinman Settler Road and the town of Charleston.

The vehicle is expected to have significant front end or front quarter panel damage, as well as damage to some black plastic molding.

It may also have light blue/gray paint transfer on it.

According to witnesses, the crash is believed to have happened at around 10:00 p.m. on Monday.
