BARTON — A 33-year-old man was taken into custody for the sale of methamphetamine, and police say he was manufacturing it at his Barton residence.

Terry Parson Jr. was arrested on Friday, after a joint investigation with the Vermont Drug Task Force, Newport City Police Department, Orleans County Sheriff’s Department, and the Orleans County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Today, police say the execution of a search warrant at 60 Cottage Lane, turned up evidence of the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

There was no public safety concern as the chemicals were contained within the residence, police say.

The investigation is ongoing and Parson is expected to face more charges.
