Lyndonville skateboarder in critical condition after being hit by car

LYNDONVILLE — A 25-year-old man from Lyndonville is in critical condition after being hit by a car while skateboarding on High Street in Lyndonville, early this morning.

Police say Brandon Villeneuve was stuck underneath a vehicle when they arrived on the scene at around 1:15 a.m.

Ricardo Millien, 22, of Massachusetts was traveling north on High Street as Villeneuve was traveling south on a skateboard in the travel portion of the roadway, investigators say.

The 2004 Toyota Solara struck Villeneuve and he became pinned under the vehicle.

He was transported by Lyndon Rescue to the Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital, where he was later transported to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.

Police say he is listed in critical condition.

The investigation into this incident is still ongoing at this time.
