NORTH TROY — If you bought a lottery ticket at Main Street Grocery in North Troy between Wednesday and Saturday, you might just be a millionaire. Vermont Lottery officials announced today that a winning TriState Megabucks jackpot ticket was sold at Main Street Grocery in North Troy.

The lone winning ticket matched five out of five numbers plus the Megaball in the December 19, 2015 drawing. The winning numbers for the estimated annuitized jackpot of $3,000,000 were:

15-18-22-31-38 and 03 for the Megaball.

Store personnel were elated and in disbelief when they had found out the winning ticket was purchased at their location.

“You’re kidding.” exclaimed Angie who had opened the store Sunday morning. “That’s unbelievable; it’s really going to make somebody’s holiday.”

The ticket holder has yet to come forward to claim the prize.

Main Street Grocery has been in business for 8 years and, as a Vermont Lottery agent, will receive an extra bonus for selling the winning ticket.

“We always enjoy sharing the winning experience with our players and to have it be a Megabucks jackpot win makes it special,” said Jeff Cavender, Director of Marketing and Sales for the Vermont Lottery.

This is Vermont’s first Megabucks jackpot win since a Megabucks subscription holder won $3.45M in May.
