Missing St. Johnsbury man found drowned in Connecticut River

LITTLETON, N.H. — Authorities say that the body of a 24-year-old St. Johnsbury man was pulled from the Connecticut River in Littleton, New Hampshire, on Sunday afternoon.

The victim has been identified as Scott B. Way.

Way was reported missing by his family Saturday afternoon, which set off a search party that used K9 teams, sonar, and a dive team.

Investigators interviewed witnesses, searching the shoreline over the weekend.

New Hampshire Fish and Game report Way was located near the Pine Island Picnic Area in Littleton, New Hampshire, at around 1 p.m. Sunday.

The death has been classified as a drowning.

The incident remains under investigation.
