Canadian picked up with 80 grams of marijuana at the border

NORTON — Police are reporting today that a Canadian man was picked up at the border carrying 80 grams of marijuana.

The incident happened on Tuesday morning at around 10:45 a.m. at the U.S. Port of Entry in the town of Norton.

Police say that Brandon Dupuis, a 21-year-old from Coaticook, Quebec, was found in possession of the marijuana while trying to enter into the U.S.

Dupuis was cited for a felony Possession of Marijuana charge, and is scheduled to appear in Essex criminal court on July 28, 2015.

Police say that he was held by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection for further violations.
