At least 20 ice fishing shanties broken into on Lake Salem in Derby

ice_FotorDERBY — Police say that at least 20 ice fishing shanties, possibly more, were broken into on Lake Salem in Derby this week.

According to a statement issued by the Vermont State Police, the break-ins occurred sometime between 4 p.m. Sunday and 8:30 a.m. Monday.

The investigation into the break-ins is ongoing, and police say that most victims reported having fishing equipment stolen.

Police are reaching out to the public to come forward if they have any information in this case.
