Wood splitter stolen from Taylor Rental in Derby

DERBY — Police are seeking information about a recent theft that took place at the Taylor Rental Farm Yard Store on Route 5 in Derby.

On Wednesday, at around 5:45 a.m. police say that someone in an older style truck stole a Split-Fire wood splitter, model 3255.

The subjects backed up to the wood splitter and drove away with it hitched to the truck.

Anyone with any information about the theft or anyone seeing an older style truck near the Farm Yard Store on September 10, 2014, at approximately 5:45 a.m. is asked to contact Sgt. Sean Selby at the Derby State Police Barracks at: 802-334-8881.
