NEWPORT — A 23-year-old man from Oxford, Maine, who is accused of robbing the Circle K in Barton at knifepoint in January, was arrested on Friday for the sale of heroin.

Daniel Dunn, who is currently being held at the Northern State Correctional Facility on charges relating to the Circle K robbery, was cited to appear August 19, to face these two new counts of the sale of heroin.

The Barton robbery in January is also said to have been drug related.

Susanne Champagne, age 27, of Enosburg, is accused of dropping Dunn off at the Circle K store in Barton immediately prior to the robbery.

According to police, both Dunn and Champagne confessed, with Champagne stating, “Okay, yes, Danny robbed the Circle K.” She also informed police that they did it because they needed money to purchase heroin.

It also came out in the confession that the two were in Lyndonville to buy heroin when they were pulled over after the robbery.

Dunn later stated that he fled back to Maine to get cleaned up from his drug addictions.
